A spooky September (2003)

Part two of “Ghost encounters at Meadowbrook Farms, Texas”

Reported by A.F., Houston, TX

Parts 1 – 2 – 34

(9/2/03 @ 3:10 PM)

I am at the Kitchen sink doing dishes (back door is off to my right).

EF and HF are out back barking.

I hear the alarm sound that a door has been opened.

Continue doing dishes thinking DF is home from school.

Don’t see her, so look around corner and see all 3 dogs barking at the front door. Three dogs when there is only supposed to be 1 inside.

Look toward back door and see that it is partially open. Door is open and handle is still locked.

EF was not jumping on door to get in. Heart is beating out of my chest!

(9/14/03 @ approximately 9:30 AM)

Pot rack was moving slightly and a couple of pans were clanking together.

(9/18/03 @ approximately 8:00 PM)

I was standing at the BBQ and DF was between the BBQ and the swing, when he asked me if I bumped the swing, or if the dogs ran into it. I hadn’t and neither did the dogs. He asked me to look at the swing moving back and forth.

(9/18/03 @ approximately 10:15 PM)

I was sitting in my chair in the Master Bedroom when I kept smelling something like cherry tobacco. It kept getting stronger, and after about 15 minutes it started smelling more like a sweet, vanilla-like aroma.

DF had showered earlier, so I went into the Bathroom to see if the smell was in there, the only smell in the bathroom was a soap smell.

Went back to my chair and sat down and smelled the sweet smell again.

At that point DF asked me to listen to some music on the computer and I went out into the Gameroom, when I came back and sat in my chair the smell was even stronger.

About 10 minutes later DF went into the Kitchen and started doing some whipped cream. As soon as he turned on the mixer, the smell immediately went away.

(9/19/03 @ approximately 9:45 PM)

Tapping at Master Bedroom door. Dogs were in room, DF was in bed, and I was standing by the entertainment center. No shadow under the door.

(9/24/03 @ approximately 9:30 AM)

Checked Guest Room where I set piece of paper and pen on vanity about a week ago. Pen was opened and at slight angle from how I originally set it. Purpose of paper and pen, I asked the ghost to sign his/her name on it so we can address it by its proper name.

(9/24/03 @ 2:30 PM)

Laid 4 white screws on the washing machine to use to hang a switchplate cover.

Got 3 put in, and the 4th was missing.

Looked all over the top of washing machine, open it and searched inside… nothing!

Said, “Would you please put the screw back,” to the ghost. Then walked into the kitchen and the screw was laying on the cutting board.

Said, “Thanks.”
