Meadowbrook Farms Ghosts – Part 1

Jan 2nd, 2010 | By webmaster | Category: TX

This true “ghost story” comes from a suburb in far west Houston (Texas), bordering on Katy. The land used to be part of Meadowbrook Farms.

The haunted house is a 2-story, 3300 sq. ft. hardiplank and brick construction home. This is a relatively new home; it’s 7 years old (new construction/built 1999).

This story is told by the woman who lives with these ghosts.

Parts 1 – 234

We noticed various things since we moved in in 1999, but things became more noticeable starting in 2001. We’re not sure who are ghost/ghosts is/are, but have done some research on who and what was on the land before the neighborhood was built.

There are old site maps that show what appears to be a driveway ending at a circular parking area, which could have been at an old farmhouse, but that is just speculation.

Have seen a male entity, sensed a woman, another man, and a child.

I’ve kept a diary on and off (per my husband’s request) of a good portion of what has happened around here.

I’m the more sensitive of the family, having experienced most of the activities.

My husband had his shirt tugged by the entity. Our daughter notices the smells, and has witnessed some visible activities. Our son won’t admit to seeing or hearing anything. Not knowing who our ghost/ghosts is/are, we’ve named it ‘Coyote Ghost’.

As mentioned, I’ve listed quite a few of the activities, but at times I try to ignore what’s going on around here, and opt to not record it in the diary.

The Diary:

COYOTE GHOST – “THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM”

(Spring 2003)

Smell of cigarette smoke in the Dining Room (on and off since we moved in)

Extreme cold spot at base of stairs (happened in dead of winter of 2001 with heat on in house)

Eyeglasses missing for months, then turned up hanging on an article of clothing in Master closet

(7/22/03)

Entity touching DF in Dining Room

(evening of 7/22/03)

Back door opening up.

EF was jumping on it for about 5 minutes, door opened, dogs came in, went to check on door, and handle was locked.

(7/24/03 – about 2:30 AM)

Wind chimes on “Harley Wall” tinkled (chimes weren’t moving, never have by own accord – morning of 7/23/03).

Something blowing on AF’s neck while in Downstairs Bathroom.

(8/12/03 – about 11:15 PM)

Just turned on my side to go to sleep, and the sheets and comforter on my lower back and butt were pushed down toward the bed. This happened about 4 different times within a minute total time. Have tried several times to recreate the experience, and the sheets/comforter don’t drape down around me at all.

(8/17/03 @ 11:59 PM)

3 knocks in the bed area of Master Bedroom. The knocks were equally spaced apart.

(8/18/03 @ 12:03 AM)

1 loud knock in the vicinity of the TV area in Master Bedroom.

(8/23/03 @ 10:00 PM approximately)

Smell of cigarette smoke in computer area. Said aloud that there is no smoking in this house, and would it kindly refrain from smoking. Smell immediately dissipated.

(8/24/03 @ 12:00 AM approximately)

EF barking at bookcase over bed (toward the top).

(8/25/03 @ 3:00 PM)

Smell of cigarette smoke in the Breakfast Nook. Once again, reminded (out loud) that there is no smoking in house, and smell went away immediately. Came back about 5-10 minutes later, and the cigarette smoke smell was there again.

(8/25/03 @ 8:28 PM)

DF smelled cigarette smoked as she walked into Dining Room.

(8/30/03 @ 7:00-7:15 PM)

DF and 3 friends were looking at picture of AF on frig, when I mentioned that we have another one of her with an orb.

DF started talking about our ghost to her friends, and I did the same with KB during our phone conversation.

Girls left room, and I was still on phone with KB when the pot rack started swaying slightly, and 2 of the pots that were back to back started clinking against each other. This went on for about 5 minutes.

I then walked over to the pot rack and put both my hands on it to stop the swaying motion. I removed my hands, and it started swaying again.

I figured the ghost was trying to let me know that it was in the room, and didn’t need to talk about it “behind its back,” – so to say!

Thinking it was trying to let its presence be know, I invited the ghost to join us for dinner, if it would stop swaying the pot rack.

The pot rack stopped swaying immediately. I guess the ghost joined us for dinner.
