Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to Ashes
My name is Shanon H.
On May 13, 2005 my father-in-law and stepmother-in-law were killed in a motorcycle accident.
The family decided to have them cremated. The funeral home offered memorial urns with small portions of our cremated loved ones in them.
We quickly bought one with ashes of my father-in-law.
Shortly after we brought it home, we began to notice strange events happening in our home. Lights would turn on seemingly on their own, temperatures would drop, and we could smell his cologne.
Our neighbors would tell us that lights were coming on while we weren’t at home.
These events went on for the next three months.
In August we scattered some of their ashes at their favorite lake in Summerville, TX. At that time we decided to bring home some of the ashes of his wife.
Once we placed them in the container and put them on the shelf with my father-in-law, the hauntings stopped.
I was sad that he no longer visited but I knew then that it was because he was reunited in our home with his wife.
